What are the 2023 dates?
The 2023 Edition will be Friday 22, September until Monday 25, September.
What are the facilities at Caravan Park Campsite ?
Caravan Park Campsite is located at the Wave Rock Caravan Park there is access to power, camp kitchen, a toilet and shower block located in the centre of the campsite. Plus a bar, food vendors and stage with a fantastic program of live music.

Will I have phone reception/ wi-fi access?
If you are on a Telstra plan then, yes. But it can be unreliable across the weekend, due to the influx of people in the area.
Last non-Telstra mobile coverage used to end in Corrigin, who knows where it will end this year.
Is this festival BYO alcohol?
No, Wave Rock Weekender is not a BYO alcohol festival. By bringing your own alcohol, you will risk the festival and your entry to it.
Can I BYO alcohol?
No. Campsites are fully licensed, so you can buy drinks at the bar and take them back to your campsite. But you cannot have any BYO alcohol, if you are found with alcohol it will be confiscated. Please leave your alcohol at home.
BYO alcohol? Nah. Nope. No. Definitely not.
Can I sleep in my car, caravan or spaceship?
Sorry folks, this is a strictly camping in tents festival, get into the spirit of the tent city. If you have any mobility issues please get in touch with is at info@waverockweekender.com.au
Off-site accommodation
The Wave Rock Motel, in Hyden, may have rooms left for the weekend. You can call Tony on (08) 98805052 to discuss bookings. A self contained cottage is available in Hyden, see Wave Rock Country Cottage for details. If you are really too scared to camp, or have a special need that can’t be met in the campground, you may wish to consider staying in one of the nearby towns of Kondinin, Lake Grace or Corrigin. The Wave Rock Visitors’ Centre can help you with this, their number is (08) 98805182.
Can I bring a generator?
No, we don’t allow generators on site. There is plenty of access to power across the site.
Will there be ice for sale so I can fill up my esky?
Yes! The lovely people at the Wave Rock Caravan Park Kiosk will have ice for sale.
Can I access my car during the festival?
Yes, you will be able to get to the car park during the festival. Carparks are monitored by security.
Can I leave the event site during the festival on foot, riding my bike or driving?
Yes, you can! All wristbands allow you pass-outs for both main festival sites so you can come and go as you please. Just make sure you keep your wristband on at all times. When moving your car just be aware that your original carpark may be taken by others arriving at the festival and you may have to park a little further away than before, all within the shuttle bus range.
Can I bring food into the festival?
Yes, you can! There is ice available to fill up your Esky’s. However, we encourage you to try the yummy food from our fantastic food vendors. Take the whole weekend off from cooking!

Can my band play the festival?
Send us an email to info@waverockweekender.com.au before June (the festival is held across the September long weekend) to be considered for the program. Please make sure you include your bands name, link to social media, notable performances, music platform. The more detail the better!

What size is okay for a tent?
Keep it small and cosy. We suggest sharing tents among friends to save on waste and transport. We also ask that you be considerate of others camping in the same area as you and only bring a tent the size of people who will be staying in it.
Can I camp with my friends?
Yes! You will need to make sure you have tickets for the same area and campsite eg. Campsite A - Orange Camp. Please ensure you arrive at a similar time to one another so you can set up together. All shared campsites are pending space and arrival time.
Can I bring a gazebo. 3x3 marquee, shade cloth to share with my friends in a campsite?
It will be up to the Camp monitor of your area if there is enough space but we encourage making your campsite pleasant and comfortable for yourself and fellow campers. Please be aware of space as the campsites can get quite full when everyone brings extra big tents and shared marquees.
I am only coming for one/two days do I have to purchase a three day ticket?
All tickets are the same, whether you come for one to three nights of the festival. If you have any further ticketing queries you will need to email our ticket partners at Oztix and check out this page
Can I bring my dog, cat, budgie or marron?
We love animals and pets but please leave them at home.
Can my kids come?
No kids, it’s a kids free weekend, book a babysitter, relax and unwind. OOOhhh yeah. (We are a fully licensed, 18+ only event).

When will tickets go on sale?
Tickets generally go on sale around June/July, to stay in the loop join our Mailing List.
Is there an official ticket resale site?
We do not encourage purchasing tickets through a resale site or social media. Our official seller is Oztix and you can only be 100% guaranteed entry by purchasing a ticket through them under your name.
